Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and compliance standards
- Document security incidents and provide actionable reports to stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in security audits and ensure adherence to NIST/CIS frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (relocation assistance provided)
