Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and anomalous activity across enterprise networks
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch critical systems
- Develop and execute penetration testing to identify security gaps
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure during incidents
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
