Job Overview
In this pivotal role, you will serve as the guardian of our digital perimeter. You will analyze security telemetry, investigate breaches, and work closely with engineering teams to harden our infrastructure against evolving cyber-attacks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead the incident response lifecycle, including triage, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Perform regular security audits and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Incident Response role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for security automation.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical risks to executive leadership.
