Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across enterprise systems
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging cyber risks
- Lead forensic investigations for security incidents and provide detailed reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Perform threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence feeds
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (required)
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations during security incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
