Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Analyze network traffic, logs, and endpoint data to identify malicious activity
- Document security incidents, response actions, and remediation procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and hardening measures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC analyst role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to incidents 24/7
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
