Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop comprehensive incident response plans
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security controls across cloud and hybrid environments
- Generate executive-level security reports and actionable threat intelligence
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF) and protocols
- Strong analytical skills with experience in threat hunting and incident response
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder reporting
