Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations centers (SOC) and analyze alerts using SIEM tools such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and coordinate effective response efforts.
- Configure and manage network security devices, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, and VPNs.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk management audits.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and Windows/Linux environments.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
