Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to identify potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and document detailed incident reports
- Develop and implement proactive security controls to prevent future breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Provide real-time threat intelligence during security incidents and major events
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of critical systems
- Maintain and optimize security tools including IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Train junior analysts on security protocols and incident response procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS technologies
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent written communication skills for documenting complex security incidents
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations environment
