Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate advanced persistent threats (APTs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
- Create detailed incident response plans and forensic analysis reports
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees
- Research emerging cyber threats and recommend defensive strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
