Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk/Sentinel) and prioritize incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and compile detailed incident reports
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement vulnerability remediation strategies
- Create executive-level threat intelligence briefings and security awareness materials
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on cloud environments
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities via threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk/Sentinel) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization security
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
