Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential breaches using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, incident response plans)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Respond to security incidents with forensic analysis and containment
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint security tools
- Experience with incident response protocols and forensic tools
- Strong knowledge of network architectures and attack vectors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid US security clearance preferred
