Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts in real-time using SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight, or Azure Sentinel) to identify and respond to threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, containment, and eradication of malware and cyberattacks.
- Collaborate with IT operations and software development teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network administration.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools including Firewalls, VPNs, and EDR solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to stakeholders.
