Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Burp Suite
- Develop/implement security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Collaborate with IT teams on patch management and hardening
- Prepare executive security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises and post-mortem analyses
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Snort)
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS WAF, Azure Security Center)
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent written communication for reporting documentation
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations
