Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices across network infrastructure
- Perform forensic investigations on security incidents and provide detailed reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
- Assist in security awareness training for employees to promote organizational resilience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and IDS/IPS
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
