Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to analyze security alerts and conduct 24/7 threat hunting to identify potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, conducting forensic analysis and remediating vulnerabilities.
- Risk Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and risk analysis to ensure compliance with standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to protect network perimeters.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop and enforce information security policies and procedures to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Tools: Proficiency with security tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, or similar penetration testing frameworks.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
