Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security alerts and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Document security incidents and provide detailed forensic analysis reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats (ransomware, APTs, zero-day exploits) and update defenses
- Perform log analysis and forensic investigations during security breaches
- Assist in developing incident response playbooks and security awareness training
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with threat intelligence feeds (MITRE ATT&CK, ThreatConnect)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting
