Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Lead incident response investigations and forensic analysis during security breaches
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on experience in threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network protocols
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection platforms
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
