Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance threat detection capabilities
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Assist in developing security policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification
- Proficiency in network security tools (FireEye, CrowdStrike)
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
