Responsibilities
- Monitor security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS) 24/7 to detect and analyze potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend defensive strategies
- Generate regular security reports for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis role
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS technologies
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and OS hardening
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
