Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM technologies (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and protocols across the network and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and remediate security misconfigurations.
- Investigate and contain breaches, ensuring minimal downtime for business operations.
- Generate and present regular security reports and dashboards to senior leadership.
- Manage the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
