Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, incidents, and anomalies with a focus on rapid containment and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001), and relevant regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
