Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response for security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and runbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and attack vectors
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and containerized environments
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure scenarios
