Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across 24/7 SOC environments using SIEM tools
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with documented playbooks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on threat intelligence integration
- Generate executive-level security incident reports and remediation plans
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat hunting and research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Certified in CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence platforms
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail under pressure
