Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and coordinate incident response procedures
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for threat detection and mitigation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and harden systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC roles
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and NIST frameworks
- Experience with incident response methodologies (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
