Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, including root cause analysis and mitigation
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards
- Develop and refine playbooks for incident response and threat hunting
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network protocols, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and TTPs
- Experience with incident response methodologies (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
