Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop remediation plans
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Provide security awareness training to staff across multiple departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
