Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk and QRadar SIEM platforms
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and generate detailed reports
- Implement and maintain intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network infrastructure
- Develop playbooks for incident response procedures and threat hunting activities
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 coverage
