Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and implement remediation protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and compliance
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certifications preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and OS hardening
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
