Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 security operations center (SOC) alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and threat hunting
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks, incident reports)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, or Security+) required; GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize high-volume alerts
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
