Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM alerts for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Analyze logs and forensic data to identify security breaches and anomalous activity
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate identified risks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Create detailed incident response reports and security improvement recommendations
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
