Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and investigate security alerts using Splunk and QRadar
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic analysis on suspicious network activities
- Develop incident response playbooks and lead breach containment efforts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security tools
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
