Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) for security anomalies and investigate potential breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate remediation efforts during security events
- Generate detailed security reports for executive stakeholders and compliance documentation
- Implement security controls and best practices per NIST/CIS frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and optimize security posture
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on SIEM experience
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
- Experience with incident response protocols and forensic investigation
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
