The Role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and implement security measures to safeguard our organization's assets. You will work closely with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and alerts.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches and incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and industry frameworks.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GSEC certification is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto), and Endpoint Protection (e.g., CrowdStrike).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network protocols.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
