Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware analysis, root cause analysis, and incident response.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls to enforce strict security policies.
- Collaborate with IT operations to deploy timely security patches and software updates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security processes and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
