Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security incident response plans for various threat scenarios
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and access controls
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
- Manage security audits and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
