Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze threat intelligence and provide actionable insights for threat mitigation
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis role
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work on-site in Glendale
