Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and initiate response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus, Qualys, and Burp Suite
- Perform forensic analysis on endpoints and network traffic during security incidents
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediation plans
- Generate executive-level security reports and compliance documentation
- Lead penetration testing engagements for internal and external applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Excellent written communication skills for documenting security procedures
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 security operations coverage
