Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and conduct triage of potential threats
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and ensure NIST compliance
- Analyze emerging threats and provide actionable intelligence to stakeholders
- Conduct security awareness training and promote security culture across departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., AlienVault, Recorded Future)
- Valid security certification (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize incidents during high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and network security architectures
