Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct thorough investigations into potential security breaches, intrusions, and anomalous activities.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts to identify weaknesses.
- Develop, test, and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Compliance teams to implement secure configurations and patch management.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Generate comprehensive security reports and metrics for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center), Network Security, or Incident Response role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Experience with Linux and Windows system administration and scripting (PowerShell/Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
