Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and document findings
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement security controls and best practices across cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Participate in security awareness training programs
- Generate incident reports and recommend remediation actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP Associate certification preferred
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced security operations center (SOC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
