Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and breaches
- Develop and implement security controls and vulnerability management strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Create detailed incident response reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence feeds
- Conduct periodic security audits and penetration testing assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) and security tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP security services)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
