Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) to detect and prioritize security incidents
- Conduct threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Perform forensic analysis on endpoint/network security events
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls across cloud/on-prem environments
- Generate executive-level security metrics and vulnerability reports
- Lead quarterly penetration testing engagements for client systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat detection roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and endpoint protection
- Proficiency in Python/PowerShell for automation tasks
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts during critical incidents
