Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security breaches using forensic tools and develop remediation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure NIST compliance
- Create and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and playbooks
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through threat intelligence feeds
- Participate in security awareness training for employees across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Ability to work rotating on-call schedules for incident response
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
