Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify security weaknesses within the network and applications.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites occasionally.
