Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Perform threat hunting and proactive threat intelligence analysis
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, SOC, or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network analysis, and threat detection
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure
