Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before attackers do.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident containment.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs to ensure secure network architecture.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with the IT and development teams to implement security best practices and secure coding standards.
- Generate and present regular security reports to management regarding the status of the organization's security posture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and playbook execution.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex log data and threat intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent work experience.
