Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and coordinate incident response protocols
- Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to prevent breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security posture through continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations, threat analysis, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) or equivalent practical experience
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
