Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using forensic tools
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement zero-trust architecture and security controls
- Generate executive-level security reports and risk assessments
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices (CIS, NIST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure incident response scenarios
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
