Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and investigate potential security incidents
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and cyberattacks to determine root causes and mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Perform vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current on emerging threats and attack vectors through continuous research and threat intelligence analysis
- Communicate security risks and recommendations to stakeholders through clear, actionable reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC) preferred
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security orchestration tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Experience with forensic tools and malware analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass a background check
