Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and coordinate remediation efforts
- Implement and manage security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and deployments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CE required for CISSP)
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61) and forensic tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder reporting
